I believe in Angels

Being a Math teacher, I come across many kids who write Angels instead of Angles whenever we start with Geometry. We also have an activity where they have to find Angles in Real Life. Perhaps this could be the cause of my obsession with Angels. 😍
I have Angles and Angels all around me. Too much eh!! Somebody stop meπŸ˜€

I love this

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ It's funny but we are not getting one.

Revelation 14 :14 to 20

Reflecting upon the book of Revelation from the Bible.

Here we see Jesus as a King and Harvester.

Harvesting the Earth and Trampling the Winepress

14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man[b] with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
17 Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth’s vine, because its grapes are ripe.” 19 The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath. 20 They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.[c]

Back to School

So I visited school today after the sudden decision to shut down on March 8th. The security aunty was gleaming with delight after seeing some movement in school.
I miss the excitement of children early morning, the chaos during lunch time, the gathering of children near my table with a million questions, rushing up and down to take classes, the horrid tea I have inspite of knowing that πŸ˜‰, the staffroom gossips, correcting notebooks, art work and so on.
It was deserted and dusty today, with painting going on in the building. Didn't know where to begin. Took a good 45 minutes, although 30 minutes was my estimate, to clear up my books.
I was happy to see my potted plants are being watered. I thanked Miskin bhayya for tajing good care of them on my way home. Hoping everything returns to normalcy soon.

Tiny yet significant

You must have heard of this rhyme. I used to recite this when in Primary school. Never knew what it meant then.
Little drops of water,
Little grains of sand,
Make a mighty ocean
And a pleasant land.
Even the tiniest drop is still a part of the ocean. It's size is nothing compared to the vastness of it. We are so tiny when compared to the vast Universe but still very much a part of it.
Just as every drop counts so is each one of us. We are important to a multiverse.
Let's not look down upon ourselves.
Little things matter, little steps take us forward. Don't stop....move forward. Let's be thankful and grateful to God for the little things because they are the most important.

Reunions

While reunions with your school or college friends can be quite exciting, it can also be embarrassing too. Nothing beats meeting your old pals with whom you would have cooked up mischief with and who would have been a victim of your conspiration. While walking through those old corridors and classrooms during our rare visits, nostalgia swells up.  The very thought of those carefree days makes us want to go back.
Corona virus stole my plans in meeting up with my old school friends. But, I finally met them up virtually on zoom after 28 long years and it was mind boggling  that I could head-start again from where we left off. We realized that we haven't aged a bit. Forever Young Minds.
Leaving you all with a hilarious excerpt from Darla Methey's article. Enjoy πŸ˜‚

The Alumni…
The outfits that people wear, or should I say, squeeze into…
One woman made her reservations months in advance but for whatever reason purchased her dress reunion day. Minutes prior to the reunion, as she was getting dressed at her hotel, she realized the security tag was still attached. She dashed to the store to have it removed only minutes before the store closed.
At another reunion, a group of former football players decided to renew an old skit that won them 1st place in the school’s talent contest their graduation year. However, ten years later, during the break dancing part, one gentleman got down on the floor and tried to get down and funky. He shouldn’t have. His black dress slacks ripped all the way down.
One alumna called just hours prior to her reunion in tears. She had just dyed her hair (never had before) and looked like, in her own words, “something out of a science fiction movie.”
Even my sister-in-law had her eyebrows waxed for the very first time two days before her reunion. A hairless gap in one eyebrow was noticed (you just can’t glue hair back).
However, one of our favorite stories was a 30-year reunion. Toward the latter part of the evening an alumna decided she needed to remove painful pantyhose. Well, that was not the only item of clothing she removed. Everything came off. She (age 48) ran back into the grand ballroom stark naked and before anybody could catch her (everybody was in shock), ran to the elevator until security caught up with her.
Committee members and alumni keep us on our toes. For the most part, it creates a lot of joy to play such a huge part of reuniting old friends with an occasional laughable story. As my own twenty-year high school reunion approaches in the year of 1999, I will dust off my gym membership card, color that gray right out of my hair, and invest a small fortune in wrinkle-free creams.

Agape

What is Love from the Bible's perspective?
We as Human beings strive to find that Perfect love.
Agape is considered to be the love originating from God or Christ for humankind
Within the scriptures, love is what binds people together against hate and dishonesty. Love is what keeps us from fighting with our enemies and sparing with those who disagree with us.You are able to love without applying any rules to each other. This is unconditional love. It does not matter that your friend or partner is ugly, shorter than you, or laugh in an irritating way. But you love them anyway.

So How Does God show His Love for us??

So that is the Mathematical Equation or Formula for us today:
"God" Perfect Love = Eternal Life

Have a Great Day!πŸ’–

As Sharp as a Cactus

It all started with L's love for Cactus and now we have a Mini Cactus area in our Balcony. The theme for my Welcome board in School this year too was on Cactus. Much Inspired by L and the Cactus too. A sharper me now.πŸ’š

Why should I leave Baking out of my favourite pastimes. My lovely daughters have always inspired me to explore the Baking world with their sweet tooth. My friends have encouraged, wooed and motivated my feats. 😍
Few clips of my baking exploits this Quarantine season.
