BIBLE- THE LIVING WORD

What is the meaning of 'Word' ?

A Dictionary says, its a unit of language, consisting of one or more spoken sounds or their written representation, that functions as a principal carrier of meaning.

It is a noun. It is inanimate. It can be written, spoken or drawn. An ordinary word does not live, does not breathe. It can name people and things.

But there a Word which lives, it can do things, it can breathe life, it can create, destroy evil, encourage, motivate and so on. It can make promises, fulfill good intentions. There is a meaning to everything in life once you believe in it.

It is the Word of God.

JOHN Chapter 1;1 to 5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.

Seize your BIBLE, Seize the word of God. It will bring you life.

When you are surrounded by Adversaries!

2 Thessalonians - Chapter 3: 1 to 5

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

AMMA

                                                                        AMMA

In the beginning,
It was just a cry.
Later a syllable.
Soon it was clear,
A  funny evolution,
Of two syllables.
Thus birthed my name,
Which soon began the game.

It was Strange,
But Life has been Blissful.
All through my years,
This name  has been crucial.
I have been called
lovingly.
I have been begged,
distress fully.
I have been screamed at,
mercilessly.
And for many other,
Reason and Rhyme.
This name was tagged
Every other time.

Whenever I heard,
this name called.
It wouldn't matter,
Where ever I was.
Sometimes in my sleep,
Sometimes in the Washroom.
Sometimes at work,
Sometimes in a distant place.
It couldn't be ignored,
It couldn't be forgotten.
I needed to be alert,
I needed to run,
I needed to rescue.
My mind wouldn't rest.
Till everything was sorted.

This name is special
It has Magical Powers.
It transforms me,
Into a Magician ,
A Genie,
A Superwoman,
A Multi-purpose tool,
A Problem Solver.
Sometimes,
It annoys
For the weirdest of reasons
But I hang in there.
Because I am the only One,
Available every season.

This game is eternal,
Based on a Mother Child Bond.
My name is AMMA,
The Eternal James Bond
Many years have passed by,
Yet my heart melts
Every time I hear my
kids call me
'AMMA'

Idols

We may idolize people, want to be like them, imitate them and look up to them. But remember, they are just Human beings like us. They brush their teeth,go to sleep, eat  and so on.  Their circumstances are different from ours. You can follow them but not be them.

Draw your inspiration from a higher power. Even though we are not God, we can take God's help to achieve the Impossible.

If God be with us, Who can be against us?

Jesus Our High Priest

                          Jesus the Great High Priest

TheLord has sworn and will not change His mind,“You are a priest forever.  According to the order of Melchizedek.”
just as He says also in another passage,You are a priest forever. According to the order of Melchizedek.”
where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
And this is clearer still, if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedek,
Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the people received the Law), what further need was there for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be designated according to the order of Aaron?
The former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers because they were prevented by death from continuing,
For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens;
who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.
Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,
For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;
For you first, God raised up His Servant and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.”
Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the Lord, and He who will bear the honor and sit and rule on His throne. Thus, He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices.”’

Jesus Our Shepherd

  • Isaiah 40:11          Like a shepherd He will tend His flock,In His arm He will gather the lambs And carry them in His bosom; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.
  • John 10:3-4   To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.
  • Psalm 23:3  He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
  • John 10:14   I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me.
  • Ezekiel 34:11-16  “For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. 13 And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them with good pasture, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing land. There they shall lie down in good grazing land, and on rich pasture they shall feed on the mountains of Israel. 15 I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the Lord God. 16 I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy.[a] I will feed them in justice.
  • Luke 15:4-7    “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
  • John 10:11-15   I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13 He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Happy birthday Kathryn Kuhlman

                                                                  Kathryn Kuhlman

I have no words to describe this great woman of God. You just have to listen her once and you will be amazed. There is nobody like her on this Earth till now. She died in 1976. She was called the Miracle Lady and used to pour out herself at every service. Kathryn Johanna Kuhlman was born on May 9, 1907, in Concordia, Missouri. Her parents were German and she was one of four children. Kuhlman was converted, when she was 14, at an evangelistic meeting held in a small Methodist church. When she was 16 she graduated from high school, which only went to tenth grade in their town.

                                                                 Few Quotes of hers:

"God is not looking for gold vessels or silver vessels. He is looking for willing vessels"

"Wherever you find real love, you will also find humility. Remember something: humility is not a weak and timid quality. Too often we feel that humility is a sign of weakness. This is not so. It is the sign of strength and security."

"Living with faith and courage is
 something that life requires of
 each of us.
 Never, absolutely
never, give up! Never give in no
 matter what!
 Fight it through!
And I promise you something with
all of my heart-God will help  you."

"The greatest human attainment in all the world is for a life to be so surrendered to Him that the name of God Almighty will be glorified through that life."

"I surrendered unto Him all there was of me; everything! Then for the first time I realized what it meant to have real power."

"I didn't have any looks, I didn't have any talent, and it was easy for me to say to the Lord, "I don't have anything." If you only knew where I came from ... this leetle-bitty town with no more than twelve hundred people in it. So ... anything I am today, He is the one who has done it."

"Any truth, no matter how valid, if emphasized to the exclusion of other truths of equal importance, is practical error."

"God does not patch up the old life,
or make certain repairs on the old life;
He gives a new life, through the new birth."

"I made a consecration of my life that I had never made before, when I saw that it was possible for me to so yield my life, my body, as a living sacrifice – a sacrifice so consecrated to Him that the name of God Almighty may be glorified through the life of a sinner saved by the grace of God. "

"Remember something, God never permitted a difficulty to come into our life without also giving us the ability to handle it. God has provided us with every faculty. He has given us the power that we need for living victoriously. It is a fact that everyone of us down deep has what it takes to successfully meet whatever life brings."
